I deny the whole charge. I was perfectly seber, when I paraded for duty at 5.45 p.m. the 2nd. instant. Then Mr. McLeod sent me away he said "Jack old man I will not have you on duty tonight". I said "Very good" I will go and see the Captain Superintendent of Police, I went to his but he was not there. I then went to the Government Civil Hospital and saw Dr. Moore and I request that Dr. Moore states his opinion as to ryy condition when I visited the Government Civil Hospital at 6.35 p.m. the 2nd. instant.
